What is 2FA?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an extra layer of security that requires two forms of identification to access resources and data.
What is OTP?
A one-time password or passcode (OTP) is a step in two-factor authentication consisting of a string of characters and/or numbers that authenticates a user for a single login attempt.
What is a Recovery Code?
Recovery codes are a list of secure passwords provided by Scribble Maps in the event your device is lost and can no longer access your authentication app to retrieve an OTP.
It is important to save these recovery codes when enabling 2-step verification.
Enable 2FA

Login to your Scribble Maps account at: https://www.scribblemaps.com/create

How to login/register - In the bottom-left corner of the footer, click on your email address.
You will see this window appear: "Your Account". - Under the heading, "2-Factor Auth", and subheading "Protect Your Account", click on the "Enable" button.
- Verify your identity. For this step, there are 2 options:

Enter your account password and click the "SUBMIT" button.
OR
- Verify with GOOGLE, MICROSOFT or FACEBOOK, by clicking on their respective button.

Enter your account password and click the "SUBMIT" button.

Scan the QR code with a mobile device.
You will require an app, such as Google Authenticator, Authy, LastPass, 1Password, etc..
Follow the steps for your app.OREnter the code provided into your authentication app. - Once the app has been successfully set up. Click the "NEXT" button.

Input the OTP password provided by your authentication app.

Click the "Submit" button.
Once the OTP password is confirmed, the 2FA Enabled pop-up will appear.
- Be sure to copy and save the provided codes.
This will be the only way to access your account if your device is lost.
- Click "X" to close the window.

Input OTP if 2FA is enabled.
Use your authentication app to retrieve a one-time password (OTP).
(Optional) If your device is lost and you are unable to access your authentication app, click "Use Recovery Code".Enter one of the recovery codes provided when enabling 2FA.
- Click the "SUBMIT" button.

Phone Time Sync Issue:
- Problem: If your phone's time falls out of sync, the application may not function correctly.
