Create the overlays
- Create your overlays in Map View.
Create a marker - (Marker Tool)
Draw a straight line - (Line Tool)
Draw a freeform line - (Draw Tool)
Draw a precise curved line - (Pen/Curve Tool)
Draw a flight line - (Flight Line Tool)
Draw a straight line including the distance measurement - (Dimension Line Tool)
Draw a rectangle - (Rectangle Tool)
Draw a polygon - (Polygon Tool)
Place an isometric shape - (ISO Shape Tool)
Create an image overlay - (Image Overlay Tool)
Add the markers to a folder
- At the top of the Layers Panel, click on the Folder Icon displaying the tooltip: "Add Group".
You will see the folder added to the Layers Panel.
- Click and drag each overlay’s row into the folder.
The folder now holds a set of overlays, which is considered a Group.

Clip to shape
- Create a shape to clip to.
Draw a rectangle - (Rectangle Tool)
Draw a polygon - (Polygon Tool)
- In the Layers Panel, click on the 3 dots to the right of the folder.
- In the folder menu, click on Clip to Shape.
- From the shape list, click on the shape you wish to clip to.
ORClick on the Select On Map button to select the shape from the map.You will see the overlays have been clipped.
Expected Results
Lines and Shapes
Any lines and shapes will be cut. Anything that is outside of the shape you clipped to will be cut off.
Image Overlays
Images will be cropped, but not cut. You will be able to move the images around the shape but only see what is within the shape itself.
Markers and Labels
A single point determines markers and labels at their center. If the point is within the shape, you will see the markers and labels, they will not be cut. If the points are outside of the shape, they will be deleted.
ISO Shapes
ISO Shapes are currently not affected by Clip to Shape.
