Import List submits address geocoding as a background job. The panel shows progress while the selected provider processes the addresses.

Prepare a large list

A batch can contain up to 75,000 submitted address rows, including duplicate rows. There is also a request-size limit, so very large rows may require a smaller import. Split a list when the panel shows This list is too large. Split it into smaller imports.

Repeated normalized addresses are resolved once within the job, then copied back to each original row. Duplicate rows still count toward the 75,000-row submission limit.

Check the selected provider's remaining allowance before starting. Pro Basic has a limited ScribbleMaps allowance. Pro Business has unlimited ScribbleMaps usage with speed and concurrency limits.

Read progress messages

  • Geocoding queued... means the job is waiting for capacity.
  • Geocoding paused to protect search speed. means the service has paused batch work to keep normal searches responsive.
  • Connection interrupted. Reconnecting... means the panel is retrying its connection to the same job.

Keep the panel open during a connection interruption. Import time depends on the addresses, matching work, and service load. An unlimited allowance does not guarantee a fixed completion time.

Cancel a job

Use the import's cancel control to request cancellation. Closing the panel also requests cancellation. Work already completed can still consume geocodes. Unused reservations are released after cancellation is reconciled.

If the panel shows Cancellation could not be confirmed. The job may continue and use geocodes., the request has not been confirmed. Do not assume the job stopped immediately.

Unmatched addresses

Review incomplete addresses and correct them before another import. After a ScribbleMaps pass, the panel can offer Geocode with Google for unmatched addresses. That is a separate choice and uses your Google allowance or purchased Google geocodes.
