A template can be a handy tool when creating your very first filter. 

Definitions

A filter is a set of conditions you configure to block/allow the display of overlays.

A condition is a rule you configure to block/allow the passing of overlays through a filter.

You configure each condition (rule) by considering the overlay attributes.

Template Options:

• Title Contains
• Attribute is Greater Than
• Attribute Equals
• Attribute is After Date
• Inside of Shape
• Outside of Shape
• Intersects Shape

Title Contains

Add the Filter

1. At the top of the Layers Panel, click the Filter Icon displaying the tooltip: "Add Filters".
   The "FILTERS" window will appear.
    
2. Under Select a Template, select the "Title Contains" template.
    
3. In the Value field, you can just type in the value you wish to filter titles through.

(Optional) Add additional filter or condition

1. To create another filter or condition using a different overlay, select Shape from the dropdown menu.

   NOTE:
   
   To add a new condition to your current filter, use the drop down menu below the filter you just made.
   
   To add a new filter with the same condition, use the drop down menu at the bottom right of the Filters' menu.

    
2. Click +Add Condition or + Add Filter.
    
3. From the filter's dropdown menu, select Contains.
    
4. In the Value field, type in the value you wish to filter titles through
   
    

Create the Filter(s)

4. Click on Save Filters to finish creating the filter(s).

Attribute is Greater Than

Add the Filter

1. At the top of the Layers Panel, click the Filter Icon displaying the tooltip: "Add Filters".
   The "FILTERS" window will appear.
    
2. Under Select a Template, select the "Inside of Shape" template.
   A list of your overlays will appear.
    
3. Select the overlay to filter through.
   You will see that the filter has been added.

(Optional) Add additional filter

1. To create another filter using a different overlay, select Attribute from the dropdown menu.

   NOTE:
   
   To add a new condition to your current filter, use the drop down menu below the filter you just made.
   
   To add a new filter with the same condition, use the drop down menu at the bottom right of the Filters' menu.

    
2. Click +Add Condition or + Add Filter.
   
    
3. From the filter's dropdown menu, select IS INSIDE.
    
4. Click Select Shape and select the overlay from the list.

4. Click on Save Filters to finish creating the filter(s).

Attribute Equals

   A list of your overlays will appear.
    
3. Select the overlay to filter through.
   You will see that the filter has been added.
