Description
A crop is an overlying base layer. The underlying map is displayed through the:
- Colored base layer - (if opacity is less than 100%).
- Holes.
You make the holes by creating these shapes: rectangle, circle, or polygon.
Create two shapes

Add the shapes to a folder
- (Optional) If the "LAYERS" Panel isn't open on the right-side of the browser window, click the vertical bar.
- In the top of the Layers Panel, click the Folder Icon displaying the tooltip: "Add Group".
You will see the folder added to the Layers Panel.
- Click-and-drag each shape’s row into the folder.
Note: The folder now holds a set of overlays, so the folder is considered a Group. To learn about grouping overlays, visit this link: Add an overlay to a group/folder
Choose the color of the base layer
- At the bottom of the Layers Panel, open the Base Layers window by clicking the double-arrowheads.
- Click the (+) button.
- In the flyout, click: "Add Crop".
- In the top-left corner of the editor window titled, "ADD/EDIT CROP", click: "Change Color".
- In the flyout, choose the color.
To choose the color:

There are 2 options for this step:Option 1
Type the Hex Color Code into the field.Option 2- Click on the "White+Color" field to choose how much white is mixed with a color.
- (Optional) Click on the Shade Bar to choose how much gray or black is mixed with the "White+Color".

(Optional) In the "Opacity" field, type-in the non-transparency percentage of the final color.
The opacity value:- 0% is invisible.
- 50% is see-through.
- 100% is the solid color.

Select the shapes, and view the crop
- Click the button: "Create Map Crop from Polygon".
- To select all shapes, click the folder you previously created. Or you can also click to select individual shapes.
- Close the editor window by clicking the "X" button in the top-right corner.
- You will see the colored base layer is now on top of the Map View.
- (Optional) You can toggle the visibility of the crop base layer.
In the Base Layers window, click the Eye Icon located on the left-side of the base layer's row.
(Optional) Add another hole to the map crop
- In the Map View, draw another shape. For example: a circle.
- In the Base Layers window, click the Pencil Icon at the right-side of the "Map Crop" layer.
- At the bottom of the editor window, click the button: "Add New Hole".
- Click to select the new shape from the list.
- Close the editor window by clicking the "X" button in the top-right corner.
- In the Map View, you will see the new hole added to the base layer.
