What's the system for unclaimed maps?
You can create a map while not logged in to a Scribble Maps account. The unclaimed map will not be associated with an account.
You may later want to claim the map, so you can:
- Edit the map.
- Change user permissions for viewing/editing the map.
- Delete the map.
Scribble Maps enables any user who has an account to claim an unclaimed map.
The first user who saves the unclaimed map to their account effectively claims the map.
What is the best method for saving a new map?
In most cases, we recommend registering a free account before starting to create a map. Then you can easily save the map to your account. To learn how to register, visit this link:

I've forgotten the password for my unclaimed map. How can I save the map?
Scribble Maps doesn’t track who creates unclaimed maps. So we cannot help retrieve a password for an unclaimed map. If you have forgotten the map’s password, visit this link:

Claim a map
Load the map into your account
- Open the map you want to claim.
- Login to your Scribble Maps account at:
https://www.scribblemaps.com/create(Optional) To learn how to log in, visit this link:
How to login/register
Save the map
- Click the "MENU" button in the top toolbar.
- Under the "Scribble Maps" heading, click: "Save Map".
- (Optional) If the map has a password, type it into the "Password" field.
- (Optional) You may also want to change the "Title", "Description", and other configuration settings. To learn how to save maps, visit this link: Save a map
- Click the button: "Save Map".
- At the bottom of the "Saved Map" window, click: "Continue Working".
- In the top-right corner of the "Save Map" window, click the "X" button.
