Single Overlay Buffer
Create the overlay

Create the buffer

Right-click on the overlay to add the buffer.
ORFrom the Layers Panel, click on the 3 dots to the right of the overlay.
- From the Overlay list of options, click on Inflate/Deflate (Buffer).
Inflate will make the buffer bigger than the overlay while Deflate will make it smaller.
Note: Lines and Markers cannot deflate. When using Deflate on a Line or Marker, it will inflate instead.
Also, buffers on large Markers may be hidden behind the Marker. You may need to scroll in to see them.You will see the buffer window appear. -
Click on the up/down arrows on the right side of the first field. You can also type in the number.

Click the arrowhead on the right side of the second field. In the drop-down, select the unit of measurement for the buffer.
- Pixel
- Metre
- Kilometre
- Feet
- Feet Inches
- Yard
- Mile
- Nautical Mile

Click the "Create" button to create the buffer.
In Map View, you will see that the buffer has been created.

Add the overlays to a folder
- At the top of the Layers Panel, click on the Folder Icon displaying the tooltip: "Add Group".
You will see the folder added to the Layers Panel. Note the name of the folder. For example: "Group a".

Click and drag each overlay’s row into the folder.
The folder now holds a set of overlays, so the folder is considered a Group.

- From the Bulk list of options, click on Inflate/Deflate (Buffer).
