Description
The Camera Tool allows you to take real-time photos using your device's camera and embed them directly into your Scribble Map. It's ideal for field teams, urban planners, environmental surveys, or anyone needing quick on-the-ground visuals tied to a specific map location.
Camera Tool
The Camera tool in Scribble Maps lets you capture images with your phone's camera and directly integrate them into your map.

Tap the Camera Icon in the top menu. This will open your phone's camera, ready to capture an image.
📸 Tip: When prompted, be sure to allow your browser to access your camera. If you accidentally blocked it, go to your browser settings to enable access.
- Take a Picture using your phone's camera. Once the picture is captured, it will upload to your map.

Choose a Placement Option for your image:

On Map: This option places the image directly onto the map, providing a large-scale visual overlay. It is useful for contextual visuals, such as adding aerial photos or site-specific imagery to give a broader spatial reference.The image will be added to your map.

In Marker: This embeds the image within a map marker that can be moved and resized. It is ideal for pinpointing specific locations with visual details, such as storefronts, landmarks, or notable spots.A camera marker will be added to the map with the image within.
Note: You can also add an image to a Marker's description from within the Marker editor.
In the bottom right corner of the Marker's Description, click on the camera icon to add an image. -
In Bubble: Adds the image in a pop-up bubble, which users can view when they click or tap on the specific point. This option is best for adding detailed descriptions or supplementary information that can be viewed on demand without cluttering the map visually.A bubble will be added to the map with the image within.
