What the Connections page does
The Connections page lists your team's data connectors and lets you run live checks on them. A connector links a data source, like a Google Sheet or a ScribbleMap, to your maps. You open it from the Connections section of the team portal. You need an active admin seat to view it.
The header reads Connections for your team name, with a count of how many connectors you have. If there are none, it says "This team has no connectors yet."
Connector types
Each connector card shows a type badge:
- Google Sheets: can be read and written.
- ScribbleMap: read-only.
The card also shows the connector name and a status badge. Click a card to expand it and see its details and tools.
What the details show
When you expand a connector, the top area shows its metadata, such as Connector ID, Data Endpoint, and the Refresh Interval. Google Sheets connectors also show the Spreadsheet ID, the Tab Name, and an open link to the sheet. ScribbleMap connectors show their Map Codes. Each ID has a copy button.
Run a check
Click Run Check on a connector (or Check All at the top to check every connector). The check reports:
- Valid: whether the source is reachable and returning data.
- Last Updated: when the data last changed, and how long ago.
- Tab / Sheet Name (Google Sheets): whether the configured tab was Found. If it is Not Found, the check lists the available tab names so you can fix the setting.
- Team Members: a per-member table showing who can write. For each member, it shows whether they are Approved, have an allowed Role, have a Product, and whether the Team is active. The owner bypasses these gates.
- Write Possible: whether writing is possible. ScribbleMap connectors show N/A because they are read-only. A Google Sheet shows whether a Google sign-in token is present.
Test writing (Google Sheets)
Google Sheets connectors have two write tests. Each one writes a test row and then deletes it.
- Test Direct Write: writes using your own Google sign-in.
- Test Server Write: writes through the server using the connector owner's Google sign-in.
Each test reports Passed, Partial, or Failed. If the owner's token is missing, the check tells you the owner must reconnect Google Sheets.
