Intro to the Team web app - Collaborate on multiple maps
When will the team member see the message?
The first time the team member logs into Scribble Maps during the browser session.
This article includes instructions for how to view the message team members will see.
Select the team
- Open the Team web app located at:
https://team.scribblemaps.com - Log in by typing in the email address and password you use for your main Scribble Maps account.
- In the top-left corner of the page, you will see a blue button displaying the team name that’s currently selected.
- To view the list of team names, click the button displaying the team name.
You will see a drop-down list.
- Click to select the team name (ex. "TeamName1") that includes the users to whom the welcome message will be displayed.
Create the welcome message
- On the left side of the page, you will see the navigation menu.
- Click the button: "Welcome Message".
The app will transfer to the "Welcome Page" for the team.
- In the text field, type in your message.
- (Optional) Above the text field, you can use the buttons to add styling, formatting, and media items to the welcome message. This list explains the purpose and options for each feature:

Font
- Sans Serif.
- Serif.
- Monospace.

Text size
- Small.
- Normal.
- Large.
- Huge.
- Bold text
- Italicize text
- Underline text
- Strikethrough text - Draws a line through the text.
- Text colour
- Text background colour
- Subscript text
- Superscript text
- Heading 1 - The largest heading.
- Heading 2 - The second largest heading.
- Block quotation - For displaying quoted text.
- Code block - For displaying a block of software development code.
- Ordered list - A sequence of numbers, letters, or Roman numerals. The default style is numbers.
- Bulleted list

Indent list left + Toggle type of ordered list
- Numbers (default).
- Lowercase letters.
- Lowercase Roman numerals.

Indent list right + Toggle type of ordered list
- Numbers (default).
- Lowercase letters.
- Lowercase Roman numerals.

Text direction + Auto-alignment
- Left-to-right + Align-left.
- Right-to-left + Align-right.
Note: You can also use the "Align or Justify" button to make changes manually. -
Align or Justify
- Align left.
- Center.
- Align right.
- Justify (the last line is aligned-left).

Create text link
Copy-and-paste the web page's URL in this format:
"https://www.[website].com" - Insert image - Upload an image from your computer.

Embed youtube video
Copy-and-paste the youtube URL in this format:
"https://www.youtube.com/[video-id]" -
Format math text - N/A
This feature is currently not available.

- After you finish creating the message, click the "SAVE" button located under the text field.
You will see the message: "Success - Team settings updated".
- Click "OK".
- In the top-right corner of the window, click the Three Dots Icon.
- Click the Logout button.
Copy and paste the current article's URL
- Copy the current article's URL.

Copy by clicking-and-dragging the URL above. Then use your keyboard to press:- Quick Key: Ctrl + C (for Windows).
- Quick Key: Command + C (for Macs).
- Log out of all apps. Then close all browser tabs.
Note: Before closing the current article's tab, read the next step.
- Close the browser. Open the browser. Then paste the URL in the new browser's tab.
Paste by clicking the URL field. Then use your keyboard to press:
- Quick Key: Ctrl + V (for Windows).
- Quick Key: Command + V (for Macs).
View the welcome message in Scribble Maps
- Open the Scribble Maps > "Create" page by clicking this link: www.scribblemaps.com/create
- A video will appear. In the top-right corner of the video, click the blue "X" button.
- Login to your Scribble Maps account.

How to login/register - In the welcome window, the "Team" tab will display the welcome message.
