The reversal of points exchanges the start and endpoints.
Note: The transformation will not be visible unless the line/border is styled with single-direction arrowheads (See Option 2).
Choose option 1 or 2
There are 2 options for reversing the direction of the points:
- Option 1 - For lines/borders without arrowheads.
- Option 2 - For lines/borders with arrowheads.
(Option 1) - For lines/borders without arrowheads
- In the top toolbar, select the Draw Tool.
Quick Key: Or you can press the "D" button on your keyboard.
- In Map View, click and drag to draw the line.
- At the top of the Layers Panel, click on the Toolbox's gear and wrench icon.
You will see a window with Core Operations and Plugin options appear.
- Under the "Transform" heading > "Line" subheading, click on the link: "Reverse Points".
- Under the "Select Overlay" heading, click on the button: "Select".

Click on the line you created.

Click on the button: "Reverse Points".
- In the top-right corner of the Toolbox window, click on the "X" button, to close the window.
In the Map View, the line appears to have remained the same, but the points have been reversed.
(Option 2) - For lines/borders with arrowheads
- In the top toolbar, select the Draw Tool.
Quick Key: Or you can press the "D" button on your keyboard.
- To the right of the Line Colour Picker, click on the up/down arrows to choose the line thickness. You can also type in the number.
- To the right of the line thickness selector, click on the current line style.
You will see the drop-down menu where you can choose the new line style.Select a line style with single-direction arrowheads.
- In the Map View, click and drag to draw the line.
Note: If the arrowheads aren’t visible, delete the line and start the procedure from the beginning. When you get to the step of choosing the line thickness, select a higher number.
- At the top of the Layers Panel, click on the Toolbox's gear and wrench icon.
You will see a window with Core Operations and Plugin options appear.
- Under the "Transform" heading > "Line" subheading, click on the link: "Reverse Points".
- Under the "Select Overlay" heading, click on the button: "Select".

Click on the line you created.

Click on the button: "Reverse Points".
- In the top-right corner of the Toolbox window, click on the "X" button, to close the window.
In the Map View, you will see the direction of the arrowheads is reversed.
