Open ScribbleMagic™ from the Marker Tool

1. Select the Marker Tool in the top toolbar.

   Quick Key: Or you can press the "M" button on your keyboard.

2. If the MARKERS/SYMBOLS/TEXTURES window does not open, click the + button at the right side of the marker list.

   The MARKERS/SYMBOLS/TEXTURES window will appear.

3. In the top-right corner of the MARKERS/SYMBOLS/TEXTURES window, click CREATE SET.

   ScribbleMagic™ will open with the Marker Set creator selected.

Create a marker

1. Under the Create tab, with the Marker option selected, click the Marker button next to Marker Set. 

   The single marker creator will appear.

2. Under Describe Your New Marker, type a description of the marker icon you want to create.

   For example: "A red pin with a coffee cup".

3. Select the marker style:

   • Flat Style: Creates a simple, icon-style marker.
   • Isometric Style: Creates a marker with a 3D-style appearance.

4. (Optional) Under Reference Images, click a + button to upload a reference image.

   You can use reference images to guide the appearance of the generated marker.

5. Click CREATE MARKER.

   The button displays the number of credits required before creating the marker.

Create a marker set

1. Under the Create tab, with the Marker option selected, click Marker Set.

   The marker set creator will appear.

2. Under Describe Your Marker Set, type the theme of the marker set you want to create.

   For example: "wedding", "construction site", or "camping trip".

3. Select the Style:

   • Flat
   • Isometric

4. Select the Colour option:

   • Multi: Creates a set with multiple colours.
   • Single: Creates a set using one main colour.

5. Select where the marker set will be used:

   • Light Map
   • Dark Map

6. Select the Outline option:

   • Black
   • White
   • None

7. (Optional) In the Style notes field, type any extra details for the marker set.

   For example: "minimalist", "cartoon", or "high contrast".

8. Click GENERATE LIST.

   ScribbleMagic™ will generate a list of marker ideas based on your description and selected options.

Use a generated marker on your map

1. Select the Marker Tool in the top toolbar.

   Quick Key: Or you can press the "M" button on your keyboard.

2. If the full marker selector does not open, click the + button at the right side of the marker list.

   The MARKERS/SYMBOLS/TEXTURES window will appear.

3. In the left menu pane, click Your Markers.

   You will see your saved custom markers.

4. Click the marker you want to use.

   In the Map View, you will see that the mouse cursor is now the selected marker style.

5. In the Map View, click the location where you want to place the marker.

   The marker editor window will appear.

6. Click SAVE.

   In Map View, you will see the marker at the selected location.

Tips for better marker prompts

• Include the object, colour, and purpose of the marker.
  - For example: "Blue trail marker with a white mountain icon".
• For marker sets, describe the full theme instead of only one marker.
  - For example: "Camping trip markers including tent, fire, water, parking, lookout, and first aid".
• Use Flat for clean map icons and Isometric for a more dimensional style.
• Choose Light Map or Dark Map based on the basemap where the markers will be used.
• Add style notes when you want a specific look, such as minimalist, cartoon, professional, or high contrast.
