Display colour-coded image overlay based on remote CSV file XYZ data.
It would be useful to be able to import XYZ map data from a CSV file on a remote server, and have the map recognise the X and Y coordinates, and let the user define what the Z value is, and then create an image map based on the data. This will allow the display of location-based measurements in real time.
I am thinking of using this feature for real-time display of temperatures as recorded by a range of weather stations across Australia; the temperature data will be recorded in a single CSV file on my web server; Scribble Maps would need to access that CSV file. The temperature would be recorded as a Z value. The map would then colour-code the measurements and create an overlay based on the colours.
This use is pretty standard in Earth sciences, so may make Scribble Maps more useful for geoscientists.
Thanks in advance.
